DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER OF ZEST, PRINCIPLE BOOKKEEPER & BAS AGENT (SHE/HER)

Amber is the cappuccino-loving helm of our operation. She is a wife and mother of two little ones, Billy and Lacey. She’s passionate about all things small business and money. As a business owner herself, and having run Zest through COVID-19, she understands the trials and tribulations of cash flow management and the unpredictability of the economy.

With a partner and several family members in the building industry, Amber also intimately understands the struggles tradespeople (and their wives) go through. She enjoys solving problems and helping her clients arrive at a place of peace with their finances. She also takes pride in her ability to break intricate accounting concepts up and relay them more simply to her clients, so they can better understand where their money is going, themselves.

SENIOR BOOKKEEPER (SHE/HER)

Meet Jodie (aka Jodes), our senior bookkeeper at Zest. She's a green tea enthusiast who doesn’t believe all warm drinks were made equal – you’ll never catch her reaching for a coffee. Like many, Jodes had a professional upheaval after COVID, leaving her job as a project administrator. With her vast management experience, she wasn’t a free agent for long. That’s when we snapped her up at Zest!

Jodes called Europe home for almost a decade. She worked as the general manager of a large-scale comedy club in central London and as a cook in Germany. If it wasn’t for spontaneous purchasing of a house, she might have lived out of a backpack forever.

Jodes is a people-person who loves giving to her clients the same freedoms she enjoys about her own job: flexibility, guidance and stability. When she's not hard at work, you'll find her hiking, swimming, at pilates or enjoying the afternoon with a seltzer in hand.

BOOKKEEPER (SHE/HER)

Sarah is Zest’s resident numbers guru, whose spreadsheet prowess can only be attributed to her old-school education – using a paper, a pen and a counting machine (yep, proper old-school). Since learning to use programs like Xero, her proficiency has only sky rocketed, which is helpful given the other hat she wears is as a Supermum to Lucas.

Sarah's coffee order for a busy day is a mocha with three sugars. It's a pick-me-up she favoured while working in various office roles over the years, from data entry to scheduling to warranties. She's always preferred working in small businesses over large corporations, and takes pride in her attention to detail (the pen and paper days paid off).

In her free time, Sarah loves nothing more than relaxing on the beach, diving into a good romance novel, gaming, enjoying a strong cocktail and renovating her home.
